A heavily requested feature since last week is the ability to import EPUB files into your Aldiko bookshelf. We are excited to let you know that we pushed an update this morning that will enable you to do just that. Just copy your EPUB files into your SD card (in the eBooks/import/ folder), select the ‘Import’ option on the app’s home screen and it will automatically scan and import your books.
Another new feature is the ability to download EPUB books directly from the Browser. Click on any EPUB link on any webpage and you should be presented with an option to directly download the book to your Aldiko bookshelf.
We are grateful for all feedbacks that users gave to us. Please continue to send us feedbacks and help us spread the word.

Thanks for this great piece of software. Realy nice work.
)
But I had some troubles to import my ePubs.
Your instructions in the popup, when klicking on ‘Import’, discribed to put ePubs in the eBook/import folder.
I was in doubt about my technical abilities, when I read in this blog to put in eBooks/import folder.
Just a missing ’s’ nearly drives me crazy….
Keep on the great work
Thanks for pointing it out, we will update it.
Hello!
I noticed an update in the market. Is there a changelog for the new version?
TIA, Florian
The changelog is available at

Thanks!
Yesterday, finally
, Aldiko has become visible on the Galaxy Market and I downloaded it.
I tried to import my whole epub library, but it hangs and crashes after about 600 books, just as FBReader does.
I think it tries to keep the whole DB in RAM, titles, authors and all.
It is a pity, as Aldiko and FBReader are the better-configurable ones, and the ones rendering the text better, but till now the only software able to manage my ebooks collection is WordPlayer, which uses OI File manager to navigate through the books.
Let me know if I can help you in testing a version supporting file browsing (instead of DB querying) to open books, or a less memory-hungry DB management.
Thanks for your work!
Bye.
